List of Needed Information for the FAFSA

Thank you for choosing to work with MassEdCO! You will need to have the following ready and with you:

Dependent Student

If you are single, without children, and under 24 years old (by December 31st of that year):

Required Student Information

  • Social Security Number 
  • Driver’s License Number 
  • FAFSA Username and Password 
  • If you are not a U.S. citizen, your Permanent Resident Card, or I-94 
  • W-2 Form (2020 for Spring 2023 or Summer 2023, 2021 for Fall 2023 or later)
  • Federal Income Tax Return (2020 for Spring 2023 or Summer 2023, 2021 for Fall 2023 or later)

Required* Parent Information

  • Social Security Numbers (both parents) 
  • FAFSA Username and Password
  • Date your parents got married or divorced
  • Parent’s email address 
  • Latest business records (IF APPLICABLE)
  • Latest stocks and bonds records (IF APPLICABLE)
  • W-2 Forms (both parents) (2020 for Spring 2023 or Summer 2023, 2021 for Fall 2023 or later)
  • Federal Income Tax Return (2020 for Spring 2023 or Summer 2023, 2021 for Fall 2023 or later)
  • Balance of parents’ bank accounts

Independent Student

If you are single, with children, and/or over 24 years old (by December 31st of that year):

Required Student Information
