MassEdCO is very pleased to announce that The United Way of Central Massachusetts has awarded funding, totaling $162,00 for 2018-2010, to two of its educational access and support programs - CSI Worcester and On Our Way.
CSI - Worcester (Collegiate Success Institute) provides service to 75 juniors and seniors from five Worcester public high schools to ensure they are well prepared for the workplace, as well as for the college and financial aid application processes. Students with high potential are matched with students from five ares colleges and mentors from area businesses and corporations. The CSI participants learn about life on campus and the world of work, while participating in workshops on area campuses.
On Our Way works specifically with pregnant and parenting teen mothers to ensure thy complete their high school education and enroll in and complete a postsecondary education program to become self sufficient and build a viable future for their families.
