CSI receives GWCF grant

The Greater Worcester Community Foundation (GWCF) has funded in part the Massachusetts Education & Career Opportunity, Inc. (MassEdCO) Collegiate Success Institute (CSI) program in Worcester high schools.  The $6,260 grant will help MassEdCO continue the program which addresses the need for an after-school mentoring program for low-income high school students.  CSI combines quality financial literacy instruction and workforce readiness initiatives with preparation for postsecondary success.

CSI-Worcester pairs local high schools with partners at area higher education institutions and businesses.  Students receive mentoring from college students and business professionals, visit colleges and workplaces, and learn about and receive assistance with the college admission and financial aid application process.
