Adult College Fair & Professional Forum

A roomful of professionals engaged in discussion about postsecondary programs for adults at a special forum held in conjunction with the first annual College Fair for Adults held on April 14 in the Denholm Building in downtown Worcester. Attendees came from nonprofits, workforce services providers and educational institutions. Panelists included Robert Outerbridge, director of enrollment management for the Center for Accelerated and Professional Studies at Becker College; Dennis Braun, director of continuing and career education at Assumption College; Jude D'Angelo, Psychology Department, Quinsigamond Community College; and Ben McElroy, coordinator of Transfer Admissions, Worcester State University. 

The College Fair provided access to and information about college-level adult educational programs and financial aid.  Exhibitors included more than 16 colleges from throughout Massachusetts and was sponsored by Becker College and MassEdCO.  The midday, three-hour event was free and open to the public.  It was well attended by people from their early twenties through retirement age.
