Three ETS seniors accepted to Harvard

Three Educational Talent Search members at South High Community School in Worcester were recently the subject of a Telegram & Gazette article. Columnist Clive McFarlane wrote about Deni Hoxha, Travis Tran and Kevin Adusei because all three overcame various challenges to complete their high school educations. All three have been accepted to Harvard University.

Educational Talent Search (ETS) at South High is administered by Massachusetts Education and Career Opportunities, Inc. (MassEdCO). The federally funded higher education access program targets students who are working to overcome obstacles such as recent immigration, language barriers, low family income, no family history of college attendance, and other hurdles. The program introduces high school students to college life, exposes them to American culture, and assists with college selection and the college application process, as well as the financial aid application process.

The article by Mr. McFarlane describes the three young men's backgrounds and struggles. MassEdCO's ETS staff is very proud of these and all of its 2017 graduates!
