ETS student in Research Bureau Forum

The Worcester Regional Research Bureau, in partnership with Worcester Public Schools and Worcester Education Collaborative, presented a round table discussion with current and recent valedictorians from local Worcester high schools.  The students spoke about the challenges and opportunities of the public educational system and the path to academic success. One of the featured valedictorians was Deni Hoxa, current valedictorian at South High Community School and an Educational Talent Search student. In speaking of some of his successes in high school he expressed gratitude for being an Educational Talent Search student. “Ms. Gonzalez really helped me with financial aid, applying to college, and staying on track with my deadlines.” When asked what advice he would give to middle school students he replied, “Challenge yourself.  Motivate yourself.  Maintain balance between academics and community involvement.” Deni is hoping to attend Clark University in the fall.
